What is Sealcoating?
Sealcoating is a process of putting a protective coating on top of your asphalt pavement, it is not only a process we are proud of doing well at Asphalt Sealers, but one we have delivered flawlessly to our clients throughout West Florida for over 30 years.
Why use Sealcoating?
Just like changing the oil in your car your asphalt needs its top layer of oil replaced in order to prolong its life. Some customers use Sealcoating purely to beautify their pavement. While other clients utilize the preventative maintenance benefits to extend the life of their asphalt. Whatever your needs Asphalt Sealers are best placed to offer you the right treatment for your asphalt.
When should I Sealcoat?
Depending on where you are in the country, manufacturers recommend 12 months after asphalt has been installed. Here in Florida, Asphalt Sealers can protect your pavement 6 months after it has been installed.
How often should I Sealcoat my asphalt?
Asphalt Sealers Inc. have clients that Sealcoat yearly, whilst we also have clients that come back to us every 5 years. It really depends on the condition of your asphalt and the amount of traffic it is subject to, if in doubt you can us on (941) 625-2788 and we’ll be happy to advise further.
What are the benefits of Sealcoating?
One of the main benefits is extending the life of your pavement by slowing down the natural deterioration process. UV rays from the sun oxidize the asphalt which makes it lose its binding oils. Sealcoating slows down this process, there by enhancing the life of your asphalt.
Another main benefit is improving curb appeal. Your asphalt investment is one of the greatest assets of a property both financially and in physical appearance. Asphalt Sealers expert Sealcoating can make the first impression on your property a positive one!
Do Asphalt Sealers Sealcoat in the Rain?
No. Pavement temperature, precipitation, wind and humidity can all adversely affect the ability to Sealcoat. We carefully monitor the weather and update our customers accordingly.

Do all contractors use the same Sealcoat?
No. It is very important to check with your contractor and ensure they use additives and sand with their sealer. Without appropriate amounts of sand the Sealcoat can not give enough traction and by using high quality additives such as latex the strength and longevity of the Sealcoat can be greatly enhanced.
Why are some Sealcoating quotes much lower than others?
It is important to check that your contractor is both licensed and insured. It is also important to know that they can be trusted to use the correct mix design with their Sealcoat. Untrustworthy contractors have been known to water down their Sealcoating mix, thereby enabling a cheap quote that looks good on paper but wont last. Asphalt Sealers Inc. have been around for 30 years because our customers trust us to deliver them a high quality product at a fair price.
